Dog years
Human years
The formula for calculating a dog's age in human years is: Human years = 16 * ln(dog's age) + 31. This formula is more accurate than the "one dog year equals seven human years" formula, and is based on research from UC San Diego (2019). Dogs and humans age at a different speed in different stages of life, and this formula was made with that in mind.

For example, a one-year-old dog is roughly equivalent to 31 human years, a five-year-old dog to about 57 human years, and a ten-year-old dog to approximately 68 human years. Dogs age very quickly in their early years, but the aging process slows down significantly later in life.
